Editorial deadlines for the morning papers apparently coincided with the moment during the sea-saw Gore-Bush contest in which Bush was pronounced the winner of Florida?s 25 electoral votes. By the time the dailies had hit the streets, however, Florida had reverted to the ?undecided? column, invalidating the premature declaration of a clear winner by the Dominican press.
