Omsa announces new bus route

Corredor Naco is the new bus route that will soon service the Polígono Central of Santo Domingo, the booming commercial and residential area of the capital city. The new bus route will have stops near the Plaza de la Salud, Ministry of Public Works, Armed Forces Hospital, Juan Pablo Duarte Olympic Center, Quisqueya Ballpark, Plaza Naco shopping center, Corazones Unidos Clinic, Salvador B. Gautier Hospital, Ministry of Public Health, Multicentro Churchill shopping center, Los Prados social club, Movilab among other places. The new route will benefit public bus users that travel to and from the neighborhoods of Los Prados, Villa María, Urbanización Fernández, Estela Marina, Evaristo Morales, La Agustina, Los Praditos, Naco, Ensanche La Fé, Piantini, Las Praderas, La Castellana, La Esperilla, San Gerónimo, El Millón, La Agustinita, Julieta. The new route begins at Km. 9-1/2 of Duarte Highway going East until turning south down Av. Núñez de Cáceres. Then it turns East on Av. Gustavo Mejía Ricart continuing until Av. Tiradentes where it goes north to 6 de Noviembre Street, doing a loop around the Plaza de la Salud (down Ortega y Gasset, West on San Martín) to retake the Av. Tiradentes turning East along Av. Roberto Pastoriza then north along Jose Brea Peña street, west along Av. Gustavo Mejia Ricart to head north up Av. Núñez de Cáceres back to the Duarte Highway. Travel on an OMSA bus costs RD$3.00 regardless of the distance traveled.
