The Chamber of Deputies studied yesterday the tax and tariff bills, known as the Mejía administration "paquetazo." The tax reform was sent to a special commission of the Chamber. The president of the Senate, Ramon Alburquerque proposed creating a Senate-Chamber of Deputy commission to study the National Budget 2001 that they expect to receive from the Presidency any day now.
