RD$19,000 million not RD$2,000 million

The former president of the Colegio Dominicano de Ingenieros, Arquitectos y Agrimensores (Codia), Martin Concepción Muñoz said that the Fernández government granted more than RD$19,000 million in "grado a grado" works, or works allotted without there having the holding of a contest to choose the best offer. El Siglo newspaper had originally reported that the past government total of projects allotted in this matter was RD$2,000 million. The present administration has assigned RD$900 million in this manner in its first three months in office. This has been much criticized by El Siglo as the eradication of the practice that leads to multimillion corruption was a Mejía presidential campaign issue.
