Major league ball players try to keep kids away from drugs

Pedro Martínez, Moisés Alou, Neifi Pérez, Rafael Furcal, José Rijo, Vladimir Guerrero, Wilton Guerrero, Luis Castillo, José Offerman, Octavio Dotel, Bartolo Colón, José Lima, D’Angelo Jiménez, Ronnie Belliard and other former or present Major League baseball players have been participating in ball clinics that seek to motivate teenagers to stay away from drugs. They are cooperating closely with the Drug Control Department (DNCD) under Major General Manuel Antonio Lachapelle Suero. The ball players will get together for a 3 pm activity sponsored by the DNCD at the Juan Pablo Duarte Olympic Center (ball field No. 1) on Thursday, 28 December.
