The Ministry of Environment has sent a 20-day ultimatum-legal notice to Refrescos Nacinales, manufacturers of Coca Cola in the DR, to install all necessary precautions to reduce noise and other contamination in the Arroyo Hondo area where they operate a facility. Neighbors of the area have complained for years about the pollution caused by the plant. Apparently, finally someone is listening.
