Air France Concorde visits

An Air France Concorde landed at noon in Santo Domingo, en route from Havana, Cuba. The supersonic jet will remain at Las Americas International Airport until Saturday at 10 am when it will continue on to Lima, Peru. This is the third time a Concorde visits. The first time, in 1992, it was chartered by a group of German tourists. The second time, in 1997, it was chartered by a group of Americans that sought to break the Guinness Book 24-hour around-the-world record. The Air France press release did not explain who has chartered the plane this time.
