Three daughters of former leader of the Partido Revolucionario Dominicano, José Francisco Peña Gómez, announced their support to the presidential candidate of the opposing Partido de la Liberación Dominicana, Danilo Medina. The three daughters — Angela, Lourdes and Arlene Peña Guaba — and the former wife of Peña Gómez, Julia Idalia Guaba announced their support for Medina at an activity where the Movimiento Luces del Milenio was launched. Medina said that the PRD believes that everything in the world has a price, defending the new supporters. The three daughters and former wife rarely participated in political activity before.
