Peña Gómez daughters want to get involved in politics

Arlene Peña del Orbe and Angela Peña Pichardo, two daughters of the late political leader, Dr. Jose Francisco Peña Gomez explained yesterday in an interview with El Siglo newspaper that they have decided to become involved in politics. They said their interest in politics found little space in the party of their father, the Partido Revolucionario Dominicano, and thus they, together with their sister Lourdes Peña Guaba, chose to form the Luces del Milenio political movement. The movement went public offering its support to Partido de la Liberación presidential candidate, Danilo Medina. The three are daughters of different former spouses of Peña Gómez. The PRD has accused the daughters of having sold out for material goods to the PLD.
