Secretary of the Presidency, Danilo Medina told the press that two are needed for a fight. The PRD has announced war on the PLD and the government, but Medina says that the PLD is not joining the fight. He said that the reforms that the country needs do not belong to any particular party but the Dominican Republic. A faction within the PRD head by the new president of the senate, Ramon Alburquerque has said that the senate will block the reforms proposed by the government. Medina said that if the PRD wants to fight, they must know that the PLD will not fight.
