Enerlac 98 is taking place in Santo Domingo. Delegates from 26 Latin American countries have come to participate in the event to discuss the expansion and marketing options within the energy sector. The event is organized by the Organización Latinoamericana de Energía (OLADE) and the Secretariado Técnico de la Presidencia. It is sponsored by the Interamerican Development Bank, the World Bank and the European Economic Community. Major private energy firms and international finance organizations are participating in the talks.
