Free trade agreement with Central America by April

Negotiations between the Dominican Republic and Central America advanced last week. Talks to define the general framework of the treaty were held in Santo Domingo. Deputy foreign relations ministers of the region met with the Dominican negotiating team led by Deputy Minister Frederic Eman-Zadé. Honduras Deputy Minister of Economy, Eduardo Ayala Grimaldi, said that Central America expects to sign a free trade agreement with the Dominican Republic by April 1998.
