A merengue bash with the Dominican orchestras Wilfrido Vargas and Las Chicas del Can, together with Peruvian Orquesta Internacional Bahia, is being promoted as the New Year’s Party of the Year in Lima, Peru. Admission prices range from US$100 to US$200 for seven hours of merengue and salsa, and New Year’s dinner at the Jockey Plaza, the largest shopping mall of Lima.
