President Leonel Fernandez is optimistic that 1998 will bring increased well-being to Dominicans. He also expressed hope that in talks promoted by the government next year might result in a new development model that positions the nation to confront the challenges of the new century and be prepared to take advantage of the economic trends of the globalized world.
