Record attendance at Golf Trade Show

The International Golf Travel Market 2003 for Punta Cana this year is sold out and set for record attendance when it opens on Monday, 8 December. The IGTM is expected to be bigger and better than ever, with representation from 38 countries whose delegates have come to see why Punta Cana is so popular with tourists today.
“IGTM in the Dominican Republic has proved to be very popular this year, with an excellent attendance from both exhibitors and buyers. It has been a pleasure working with the Dominican Republic and I have no doubt that their warm hospitality will be enjoyed by all attendees,” said Mark Walsh, event manager for IGTM.
The organizers reported that 120 buyers had registered to attend the event in which a record 232 stands would be set up in the Barcelo Convention Center. First-timers to the trade show this year are Hungary, Brazil, Argentina, Costa Rica, Jamaica and Mauritius. The event’s planners had intended familiarization tours of the country prior to the exhibition, but Saturday’s torrential rains made them impossible.
