Preparations are advancing to host tour operators and travel suppliers in Playa Dorada, Puerto Plata for the Dominican Annual Travel Exchange (DATE) from 28-30 April. This year?s premier event for booking Dominican hotels will center around the second-floor convention hall atop the Playa Dorada Commercial Center. Social events will be spread throughout Puerto Plata to give participants an opportunity to appreciate the many attractions of the province. For DATE 2004, the opening reception will take place at the Playa Dorada Golf Club on Wednesday, 28 April. The Dominican Evening has been scheduled for the Central Park in downtown Puerto Plata on Thursday, 29 April. Other events have been programmed for Ocean World, the cable car of Mount Isabel de Torres, the Brugal Rum Factory and the Centro Leon in nearby Santiago.
