JetBlue Airways began flying to the Dominican Republic, on Thursday, 10 June with service to Santiago, in the central part of the Dominican Republic. The carrier will provide two flights a day from JFK to Santiago (at 6:50am and 2:20am). Santiago flights to JFK will leave at 9:45pm and 11:25am.
“We’re very excited to bring the JetBlue experience to the Dominican Republic,” said David Neeleman, CEO of the airline.
“Dominican Republic travelers to Santiago will now be able to experience new planes, low fares, a 34-inch seat pitch for most seats, and award-winning, friendly service when flying to and from the Dominican Republic.”
The airline has opened airport ticket offices both at the Santiago Cibao International Airport and at the Santo Domingo Las Americas International Airport. JetBlue will commence flights from Las Americas to JFK this coming Thursday, 17 June. JetBlue?s daily flight from NY to SD will depart at 9:05pm. The flight from SDQ to JFK will depart at 1:50am.
