Leading Dominican stars are expected to take part in a mega production on the history of Dominican music sponsored by the Banco Popular for the opening evening of the ITB Berlin fair. This year the Dominican Republic is the Official Partner Country at the fair. The event will be produced by Chiqui Hadad, Manuel Tejada is the musical director, and choreography has been entrusted to Fidel Lopez. Juan Luis Guerra, Milly Quezada, Maridalia Hernandez, El Prodigio, Adalgisa Pantaleon, Rubby Perez and Luis Payan are expected to perform. Cap Cana chef is sponsoring the menu for invited guests, with Dominican specialties such as arepitas de yuca, sancocho, ceviche, moro de guandules, pescado con coco, pudin de pan, dulces criollos, majarete, and arroz con leche. The Ministry of Tourism has sponsored a 300-meter Dominican pavilion, in addition to space taken by several other leading tourism companies operating in the DR, according to Giselle Diaz, coordinator of the Ministry of Tourism’s offices abroad.
