Colombian carrier Avianca is preparing to launch a Bogota-Santo Domingo route starting 14 June. Airbus A319 jets will be used, with capacity for 120 passengers. The flights will depart Bogota at 10am, arriving in Santo Domingo at 1pm. The DR recently facilitated travel between Colombia and the DR, allowing any traveler who already holds a Schengen, US or Canadian visa to travel to the DR with the purchase of a tourist card.
