Santo Domingo’s International Movie Showing is again take place at the Palacio del Cine (Bella Vista Mall) with three films per day, from 1-10 October. Films will be from Spain, France, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Venezuela, Bolivia, Denmark, Mexico, Uruguay, Cuba, Ecuador, Colombia and Sweden. This year, several German films are on exhibit. The opening film is “Hanami” (Kirschbluten) by Doris Dorrie, with a gala premiere on 1 October at 7pm. Other German films include Blue Angel, staring Marlene Dietrich. The festival is directed by Arturo Rodriguez Fernandez and is in its 10th year.
