Lan Airlines has requested permission to fly the Santiago de Chile/Guayaquil/Quito/PuntaCana/Miami route. Also the Santiago de Chile/Cancun/Punta Cana/Miami route. Also the Santiago de Chile/Punta Cana/La Havana/Santiago de Chile route. The airline has rights to pick up travel within each of these destinations, meaning Punta Cana gets a Punta Cana to Havana route, making multi-destination travel a reality.
And Lan Airlines will be offering nonstop from Punta Cana to Lima, Peru starting 2 September 2009. The flight departs on Wednesdays and Sundays leaving Punta Cana at 1:45pm and arriving Lima at 6pm. And then leaving Lima at 12:30pm and arriving to Punta Cana at 6:30pm. Flying time is about 5:15 minutes.
