Brugal limited edition offer

Rum lovers should be on the lookout to purchase a bottle of some of the finest rum in the world. On its 125th anniversary next March, Brugal is preparing to launch a new luxury edition of its rum, to be named Papa Andres. Only 500 bottles of the ultra-premium rum, priced at US$1,200, will be released. Named in honor of Brugal company founder Don Andres Brugal, Papa Andres was originally created for and consumed by five generations of the Brugal family on special occasions, with just a few bottles sold at charity auctions.

The rum is taken from a private reserve of casks kept in Brugal’s cellars in Puerto Plata for more than 100 years, and the small portion of rum drawn off for Papa Andres is replaced with a selection of aged rums chosen by Brugal’s master blenders.

The rum will be packaged in a crystal decanter inspired by Dominican art, and housed in a gift box that will also contain a booklet explaining the rum production process.
