While Hurricane Sandy did not pass near the Dominican Republic, it did bring lots of rain. As a result, 12 baseball games were suspended and still need to be played. So, there’s a Dominican Winter Baseball League game being played almost every day in one of the five participating stadiums – Santo Domingo (Quisqueya), San Pedro de Macoris (Tetelo Vargas), La Romana (Francisco Micheli), San Francisco de Macoris (Julian Javier) or Santiago (Cibao).
