A new kind of tourism is taking on in the Dominican Republic. Yoga retreats are becoming more popular.
Yoga fans, or anyone who would like to begin their journey, should look into the Shiva Das four-day retreat organized for 27-31 March in Jarabacoa. The group will be staying at the Sonido del Yaque ecolodge in Manabao.
Shiva Das is a disciple of Yoga Master Prabhuji, and has lived with him for many years at his Ashram in India. He has taught numerous courses and workshops on the teachings of Prabhuji and Vikukti Yoga. The cost of the retreat is RD$9,000. Participants will be able to take Japa Yoga, Hatha Yoga, Karma Yoga, Bhakti Yoga and Ratha Yoga classes as well as practicing meditation and other disciplines.
