The Fourth Dominican Open, part of the PGA Latin American Tour, is taking place in the Dominican Republic for the second time. The tournament is held at the Cana Bay course at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana. The event will be played from 26 May to 1 June 2013 at the Jack Nicklaus-designed course. More than 140 professional golfers from nine countries are playing four rounds of golf at the 18-hole course. A Pro-Am tournament is set for Tuesday, 28 May. Prize money is US$150,000. This is the ninth round of the PGA Tour Latin America. Pros Willy Pumarol and Julio Santos are playing for the Dominican Republic. The event also serves to prepare Latin American players for competing in the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics.
