The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) has signed an agreement with the National Energy Commission for launch a technical assistance project aimed at increasing energy efficiency in the Dominican Republic. The technical assistance will begin in June of this year and last for 18 months. There is an energy efficiency bill working its way through Congress.
