The two Dominican captains of the boat that sank on 1 May whilst illegally en route to Puerto Rico have been sent to jail for three months on remand.
The boat sank off Boca Chica and at least six Haitians drowned and another 12 were saved.
Fidel de la Cruz Duran and Eduardo Madrigal Morales (Joan), were sent to La Victoria penitentiary. Both are from Palmar de Ocoa, Bani.
