Ocean World Park in Puerto Plata celebrates 10th anniversary

Ocean World Adventure Park is celebrating its first 10 years operating in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic. The park is a leading tourist attraction in the north coast area.

The highlights of the park are the dolphin encounter, dolphin swim, shark and stingray encounter and the sea lion encounter. The Park is proud of its animal- breeding program. Dolphins and sea lions have had babies that have become attractions in themselves for the visitors.

Over the years, the park has added the Royal Dolphin Swim, where participants can interact with two dolphins for 60 minutes, trainer for a day program for learning about care techniques, feeding, and dolphin training. The newest program is Behind the Scene, where visitors receive privileged access to restricted work areas to learn about training techniques used with dolphins, sea lion and sharks. In other special programs, visitors get the opportunity to feed tigers, iguanas and birds and learn about veterinarian care for these animals and operational details of the park.

Also added since the initial opening was the Waterslide Triple Twister and its three fun water slides.

As part of the anniversary celebrations, Ocean World is offering a special deal in March and April to legal residents in the Dominican Republic where all 10-year old kids get free admission and 10% off all animal programs.
