Delta Vacations: Honeymoons up five-fold

Delta Airlines sees the Dominican Republic as a growth market in the Caribbean, with a 30% increase over the past year. Steven Bradley of Delta Vacations comments that over the past two years, 2011-2013, the two gateways, Atlanta and New York have experienced over triple-digit growth. This is particularly into the Punta Cana International Airport. The airline has also started new services from Cincinatti and Pittsburgh into Punta Cana.
Bradley said that there is substantial demand for special products and that honeymoons are up five-fold, and weddings four-fold. He says the company has doubled their adults-only business.
Delta Vacations offers around 40 hotels in the Punta Cana area, with vacation packages for families and adults only. The company added vacation packages to Samana last year and also offers travel to Santo Domingo and La Romana, and land packages to Puerto Plata.
