Santo Domingo chefs are presenting “Sabor Capital 2014” a gastronomic extravaganza merging Dominican ingredients and tastes with the best kitchens of the world. The event, organized by the Santo Domingo Hotel Association, will be held on 20 August at the Gran Salon of the Santo Domingo Sheraton Hotel. It is a benefit for the Escuela Tecnica Hotelera Serrania, located in Jarabacoa.
For the evening, four chefs will combine European, Latin American, Asian and Middle Eastern cooking with Dominican cooking. The chefs are Alfredo Cruz (Barcelo Santo Domingo), Martina Ortiz (Nicolas de Ovando), Pascal Messier (Sheraton Santo Domingo), Carlos Contreras (Dominican Fiesta), Anton Krumov (Hilton Santo Domingo), Madeline Campusano (Plaza Naco), Cristian Shinya (Crowne Plaza) and Sencion Lopez (Holiday Inn).
