Low-cost Brazilian airline Gol has started its direct flights from Sao Paulo, Brazil to La Romana’s Casa de Campo International Airport (LRM). A first B737-800 with capacity for 155 passengers will be landing at the airport on Sundays. This is the first time the La Romana resorts in Casa de Campo and Bayahibe-Dominicus have a direct connection to Brazil. The La Romana Airport is located midway between Santo Domingo and Punta Cana and claims to be the Dominican airport with the shortest time for clearing customs and immigration.
