The Puntacana Resort & Club has renamed its tennis center in honor of late fashion designer Oscar de la Renta. De la Renta’s widow Annette and his son Moises attended the ceremony for the Oscar de la Renta Tennis Center along with Vogue editor Anna Wintour and Dominican star tennis player, Victor Estrella.
Anna Wintour unveiled the center’s commemorative plaque and spoke of her friend’s love for tennis.
Tennis player Victor Estrella presented Felix de los Santos with the tennis racket that he used to play in Wimbledon this year for the center’s collection of memorabilia.
The Rainieri family, headed by Frank and Haydee Kuret de Rainieri, hosted the event.
The inauguration took place during the Oscar de la Renta Tennis Tournament, the annual three-day charity tournament.
