First Lady, Candida Montilla de Medina went to the Robert Reid Cabral children’s hospital in Santo Domingo yesterday, Tuesday 6 January 2015 to deliver gifts to patients on the occasion of Three Kings Day.
After touring the hospital, including the neurosurgery, male surgical ward, oncology, pediatrics, the dengue and burn units, the First Lady said that her office traditionally gave gifts to children in the hospital to bring them a little joy and happiness.
The children were delighted with their games and presents, forgetting their health problems and had their photographs taken with Minnie and Mickey Mouse and Donald and Daisy Duck, who helped to hand out the gifts of kitchen games, soft toys, dolls, cars, balls and others.
She was accompanied by the hospital director, Jose Miguel Ferreras, deputy director Clemente Terrero, coordinator of the First Lady’s Office “Count on me” program Lissy Campos and the administrative director of her office, Luz Marina Alvarez.
