Houghton Mifflin Harcourt has announced that “Pedro,” a memoir of great pitcher Pedro Martinez will be published on 5 May 2015. The story was co-written by the Boston Herald’s Michael Silverman.
The book on his success story includes details of the highs and lows of his career.
The book will be released shortly before the July induction of Martinez into the Baseball Hall of Fame of Cooperstown, New York.
Martinez is known for his slight physique and wide range of effective pitches. He played for five teams, but is mostly known for his participation with the Montreal Expos and for helping the Boston Red Sox to win the MLB championship in 2004. At the end of his career he pitched for the New York Mets. He is now back working with the Boston Red Sox. He retired in 2009.
