The 13th Caribbean Laser Midwinter Regatta is taking place in Cabarete, in the province of Puerto Plata this weekend, 17-18 January 2015. The annual event brings world-class laser sailors to Puerto Plata to compete against the best in the Dominican Republic. The international sailors also come to take part in the excellent sailing clinics held in the run-up to the competition. Cabarete is also famous for its many restaurants and bars that provide great ambience after the sports event.
