Former President Leonel Fernandez has been invited to join the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network Leadership Council. The council comprises eminent experts on sustainable development from academia, business, civil society and the public sector.
As reported, the invitation came from US economist Jeffrey Sachs, who is director of the Earth Institute at Columbia University in New York and the United Nations secretary general’s special advisor on the Millennium Development Goals.
