The Asisa Research Group says that if elections were held today, Thursday, 5 February 2015, the ruling PLD party candidate would win with 72.2% of the vote. The company released its findings at a press conference held at the Santo Domingo Holiday Inn today, El Caribe reports.
The PRD would obtain 14.9% of the vote and the PRM would receive 10.1%.
The poll also showed 67.7% of those polled to be in favor of modifying the Constitution to allow Danilo Medina to run again.
51.2% of those polled approved of the Medina government and 63.7% said that the country was headed in the right direction.
The survey was carried out in January and 1,500 people eligible to vote were polled.
