President Danilo Medina hosted a visit by the owner of the Chicago Cubs Thomas (Tom) Ricketts at the Presidential Palace yesterday, Tuesday 10 February 2015.
As reported, Ricketts outlined the club’s plans for the Dominican Republic and presented President Medina with the gift of a player’s shirt emblazoned with his name and No. 1.
Ricketts was accompanied by his father Joe, his brother Todd Ricketts and Luis Eluaja, director of operations of the Chicago Cubs baseball academy in Boca Chica and Giselle Castillo, Dominican consul in Chicago.
