Mejia in Miami

President Hipolito Mejia during his campaign visit to Miami affirmed that he has met all his campaign promises. ?For the first time in all of Latin America a ?jodido? politician has fulfilled what he wrote and promised,? Mejia grandstanded. He mentioned that he built 400,000 housing solutions compared to 13,000 of the PLD government, equipped 20,000 school rooms and guaranteed school breakfasts, clothing, shoes, school books to 1.5 million students. He said that Dominican hospitals offer service the same as in New York medical centers.

Interviewed in Miami, Mejia promised that if he is defeated in the 16 May election by leading opponent Leonel Fernandez, he would half an hour later be offering him his support. He said that nevertheless, Fernandez would have to be ?macho y embragao? (a man with his pants firmly in place) to defeat him in a fair election.
