The Tax Office (DGII) has announced that 24 buses seized from Metro Servicios Turisticos will be put up for auction on 22 April 2015 as payment for a tax debt of more than RD$173.5 million that the transport company owes the government. The buses are Mercedes Benz, Scania and Volkswagen brands, 1996 to 2010 models. The auction takes place at the Metro installations on Calle G, esq. H, in the Herrera Industrial Zone in Santo Domingo, as reported in El Dia.
