A 37-year old Canadian man who had gone missing in the tropical forest after suffering an apparent paranoia attack of was found safe and sound on Saturday, 25 April 2015 after an intensive search mission.
Patrick Brown from Ottawa was described in the Canadian media as displaying paranoid behavior before disappearing in a jungle in the Dominican Republic for five nights. As reported, Brown was in a panic when he left an excursion and ran off into the countryside near Guananico on Monday, 20 April his family told CBC News.
His parents said that Brown was vacationing with them in Puerto Plata when he left the resort with a local tour guide. The guide told the family they were touring a ranch when Brown started acting in an extremely paranoid manner.
Brown was taken to a Dominican hospital but is expected to return to Canada soon.
