Viva telecom is advertising that its cell phone Internet plan users can now use their 3G plans with their cell phones in the US without having to worry about roaming charges. Alex Tavera, products vice president, said this is a first for the local telecom industry. Viva customers can now pay the same rates as in the Dominican Republic for using their phones in the United States, Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands. All they need to do is activate the Roaming Viva service before calling in the United States.
