Gallup presidential vote count: Medina 62.5%, Abinader 17.4%

The results of a Gallup-Hoy poll conducted in from 1 to 5 July 2015, and published on Monday, 13 July 2015 by the Hoy newspaper reveals that if the election were held today, 62.6% of those polled would vote for President Danilo Medina of the ruling PLD and 17.4% for Luis Abinader of the PRM. Guillermo Moreno of Alianza Pais would obtain 3.6% of the vote; Federico (Quique) Antun Batlle of the PRSC would obtain 1.2% and Amable Aristy of the Partido Liberal Reformista would receive less than 1% of the vote. This is the first major poll carried out after the changes to the 2010 Constitution which paved the way for the re-election bid of the current president, Danilo Medina. The poll registered the opinions of 1,200 persons eligible to vote in the 15 May 2016 election.
