The Ministry of Public Works (MPOC) has announced roadworks for this week. The first was the Las Americas Expressway tunnel that was closed to east-west traffic on Monday, 20 July 2015, and to west-east traffic on Tuesday, 21 Julyfor maintenance. The road closures on these days is from 10pm to 6am.
Other road maintenance closures announced include the underpass on 27 February with Maximo Gomez scheduled for Wednesday, 22 July. On Thursday, 23 July, the west-east direction of the elevated section of 27 February to Leopoldo Navarro up to Plaza Trinitaria will be closed, followed by the closure of the east-west direction of this roadway on Friday 24 July.
The closures are due to general cleaning and structural checking and all will be closed at night from 10pm to 6 am.
