Two men in a white car assaulted a valet parking worker at a Naco business and stole the worker’s wallet and the keys to 19 vehicles that were under the care of the parking service, as reported in 7dias.com.do.
Spokesman for the Police, Jacobo Mateo Moquete, suspects that the robbers thought the valet parking worker had a large sum of cash on his person.
The robbers abandoned the vehicle at the Avenida Ecologica, on the eastern side of Santo Domingo once they knew they were being followed by the police. The business where the crime occurred had quickly alerted authorities using 911 Emergency System. The Police spokesman said that seven keys were found inside of the vehicle along with two stolen cell phones.
