Maria Marte, the Dominican chef who helped the chef of the Club Allard restaurant in Madrid win his first Michelin Star in 2007, and then went on to win a second star for the restaurant in her own right in 2014 after the chef left, will be teaching a master class and preparing two gala dinners at the Hotel Santo Domingo Sheraton. The master class will be held on 31 August 2015 and the gala dinners will take place at the Sheraton on 1 and 2 September. Tickets are for sale at Uepa Tickets, and Jumbo, Supermercado Nacional.
Maria Marte immigrated to Spain and started working as a cleaning lady at the Madrid restaurant before convincing the chef to give her an opportunity as a cook assistant.
