Motorcycles to be identified with RFID tags

1.2 million ISO 18000-6C headlamp transponders have been purchased from Star Systems International to tag motorcycles in the Dominican Republic. Thomas Copel, represented by Ricardo Sanchez, is supplying the tags to the Tax Agency (DGII). SSI reports that commencing in the fall of 2015, the transponders will be installed on every motorcycle in the Dominican Republic. The announcement has not yet made in the country.

As reported, the tracking system will help enforce compliance with the annual vehicle registration process. The Aries Headlight Tag is described as delivering superior read and write performance and providing great flexibility on hard-to-tag vehicles such as those with windshields containing metallic content and/or films that can affect radio transponders.
