The PRD?s political commission yesterday chose to oust former PRD leader Hatuey Decamps and three of his followers from the party?s ranks. Vicente Sanchez Baret, director of Customs Bureau during the Mejia administration, and PRD party president, made the announcement. By a vote of 55-5, the PRD expelled Decamps, Felipa Gomez, Henry Mejia and Priamo Medina from the party citing ?high treason? because they urged voters not to support the re-election of Hipolito Mejia. In order to ratify the ejections, the party?s political commission requires that the National Executive Committee meet.
