According to the National Meteorological Office (Onamet), a cold front will bring rains over the country during the next 48 hours. Forecaster Martin Matos told El Caribe reporters that this frontal system, as it is also known, will cause rains mostly in the north of the country as well as parts of the northwest and northeast. He added that the system that is stationary to the north of the country could bring rains during the next two or three days. He pointed out, however, that if the system begins to move the rains would diminish. Matos said that most of the rain is expected to fall over Montecristi, Dajabon, Santiago Rodriguez, Puerto Plata and Loma de Cabrera in the north and northwest. He said that temperatures should remain between 31?C and 32?C with lows in the range of 21?C and 23?C.
