The US Migration and Customs Office has announced that yesterday, Tuesday 3 November 2015, the repatriation of 119 Dominican ex-convicts. This represents the largest group repatriated so far this year.
The ex-convicts arrived at Las Americas International Airport, accompanied by seven federal agents. The flight was met by Migration officials, along with members of the National Drug Control Agency (DNCD), Department of National Investigation (DNI), National Police and the Specialized Corps for Airport Security (CESAC).
Once the plane landed the ex-cons were bused to the Migration Center in Haina where they were processed.
The ex-cons have completed jail terms for number of crimes, including drug dealing, robbery and assault, forgery, fraud, rape and kidnapping.
